So often we see tragic stories in the news and do not think about the long term effects they have on the survivors. In this book the author gives us an idea of how challenging life can be for a survivor of violence. Emily is by nature shy but she also suffers from panic attacks and agoraphobia. Tate is a wealthy playboy who finds himself attracted to Emily and wants a relationship for the first time. This book is so sweet, hot and at times heartbreaking. I love books that make me feel and this one definitely did. This was the second time reading this book and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. Some books are like friends and we want to visit them every so often. This series are some of those books.Product details

Whew! Smoking hot sexy times, fabulous characters and wonderful writing. Tate and Emily are both products of what happened in their childhoods, but they work through the issues together. I loved this book the first time I read it, and it doesn't disappoint on a re-read. Great job Ivy Layne.
I found Emily to be weird at first, but as the book progressed, she was really a cute character. There were some really sad stories, for example Tate's remembrance of the death of his parents. Overall, I think the writer lacks creativity in setting some sexual plots. In a way, the characters have more a sense for sensuality than the writer, if that could be possible.
Although Emily is a shy virgin recovering from agoraphobia and panic attacks and Tate is a self assured man who only plays the field, they have some past life events and gaming/tech interests that unite them. There is an instant attraction that feels deeper than just physical. I especially like that Emily is smart and has inner strength and depth.
After reading the first one I wanted to read this one to get more of the mystery of the families death that is hinted at in the first " Billionaire" book. Again I was let down. I was a cookie cut plot and you could see how it was going to end by chapter 3
While this is a shorter story than some of the others in the series, it is an enjoyable read. The attraction between Emily and Tate is instant as was shown in his cousin's story. This story picks up from there. It is fun that Emily doesn't fall at his feet as most other women have. And there is more to Emily's story. I enjoyed the story a lot. The stories in this series are more enjoyable when you have read the others. It isn't necessary as they all stand alone, but they are better as a whole.
Very quick read - less than 200 pages. I actually read books #3 and 4 before I read this one, but once you start reading about the Winters family, you want to go back and "catch up".
This story is about Tate and Emily. We first meet both of these characters in book #1, so there is some overlap with the stories. (There's also a scene from this book that is replayed in book #3 - so while the books are promoted as "stand-alones", there is some overlap and cross-over). Emily is a shy gamer girl who is prone to panic attacks due to a horrific event in her childhood. Tate is a smooth-talking, sophisticated womanizer. You would think these two have nothing in common. But, there's more to both of them than meets the eye and the story of how they come together and overcome the odds is a nice hour or two out of your life.

This is Emily & Tate’s story. We knew, from Book 1 in the Series, that Emily was shy & had some issues. This book delves a little deeper & we find that Emily has gone through something traumatic as a child and still to this day, wrestles with trying to keep her Panic Attacks under control. Tate is fun-loving & has a different girl on his arm whenever he chooses, but finds himself drawn to Emily, as she’s the first woman to ever turn him down for a date. Tate is very persistent & finally gets Emily to go out to dinner with him. From there, their story starts and, of course, it’s bumpy! I loved, “The Billionaires Pet,” and though I couldn’t wait to read this, I felt their “insta-love” was way too quick. It was a matter of around 3 days that they were thinking about the “L” word, while at the same time admitting to each other that they hardly knew each other.
I love these books & the brothers/cousins stories. I guess I just felt like this one was a little rushed. Still can’t wait to read the other books about these men! They are totally swoon-worthy!!
